hi, I'm Melody Meyer and I'm the original Wave Wear Mermaid! I was born in Myrtle Beach, SC and have been surrounded by the ocean for as long as I can remember. I started Mermaid Wave Wear in Venice Beach, CA. Going to the beach daily, I got inspired to create a line of wetsuits and shorts that would not only be perfect for the ocean, but that are also fashionable- from sea to nightclub.

 

I grew up with very environmentally conscious parents, and those values stayed with me throughout my life. I care about reducing waste, recycling and upcycling, minimizing water use, etc. I've been teaching trash art classes to kids this past year and it's been incredible!
